The Education of Dennis Martire

Before becoming the Vice President and Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, Dennis Martire developed a passion for people. He was born in August of 1964. He worked hard to earn his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Government at West Virginia, Wesleyan College in 1986. After that, in 1990, he took on his first role in the union and never looked back. He has found a passion and joy in the work that he does at the Laborers’ International Union of North America. He is currently a proud member of Local Union #1058 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dennis Martire works hard to represent his members well and because of this, he has earned a reputation of a man that is dedicated and committed to the members of the union. This has been affirmed in his years of advancement in the ranks of the Laborers’ International Union of North America. His personal goal is to improve working conditions, secure jobs and fair wages for all laborers. He works towards his goal through his work at the union as well as through the many boards that he serves on as trustee, chairman and board member as needed. He serves on over sixteen boards in addition to overseeing training programs for continued learning for laborers. He currently is working with the Maryland officials to pass the prevailing wage law and resides with his family in Northern Virginia.
